This summer, PGA Golf Club was honored to welcome children from the Boys & Girls Clubs through the generosity of the John Siemering Memorial Scholarship Fund. Thanks to the support of John’s family and friends, these young golfers were given the opportunity to participate in a week-long golf camp focused not only on learning the game, but on developing confidence, perseverance, respect, responsibility, and teamwork.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the week was watching their confidence grow. Students learned to encourage one another, celebrate each other’s successes, and understand that improvement comes through effort and perseverance.
The Boys and Girls Club at Westside Church (pictured above) persevered their way through the summer heat to also have a great time! Over 50 kids and teens developed their full swing and putting skills throughout this summer camp at our artificial turf learning center. We overcame our challenges and developed life skills along the way.
