ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Making the Turn is an innovative intergenerational program that brings together First Tee participants and older adult mentors through the game of golf.

Inspired by the belief that young people are beginning life’s journey while older adults possess valuable perspective, wisdom, and experience, the program creates meaningful opportunities for learning, mentorship, and connection both on and off the golf course.

As part of the Ben Horrow Project, Making the Turn supports youth development, financial literacy, leadership, civic engagement, and relationship building while fostering stronger community connections across generations.

OUR MISSION

To create meaningful relationships between youth and older adults through golf, mentorship, and shared experiences that prepare young people for life while helping older adults remain engaged, active, and impactful members of their community.
