The Little Club Supports Female Students

In May, The Little Club in Gulfstream hosted an LPGA Amateur Golf Association event. The Pink Ball Tournament featured 18 foursomes in a shotgun start. Chapter students Annika Collado, Cienna Collado, and Asha Farrelly were invited to attend and had a fantastic time.

Sponsor Spotlight: Palm Beach County Sports Commission

Chapter Students On Fire!

Congratulations to chapter student Isabella Rubio for becoming a First Tee Scholar!

The First Tee College Scholarship Program supports selected alumni throughout their college career. The need and merit-based program provides scholarships up to $5,000 per year, renewable for up to four years of college admission. The program also provides professional development workshops, access to internships and full-time employment placement post-graduation. One of the key factors of the program is pairing Scholars with a dedicated adult mentor who will help encourage and guide them throughout the four years.

Check out the video of her scholarship presentation.

Way to go David!  David Sandino was selected for the First Tee Game Changers Academy Honoring Joe Louis Barrow, Jr this July in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During this event, teens will participate in important conversations embracing topics of self-awareness, inclusivity, and community building.

The Fun Has Just Begun With BGC

Boys & Girls Clubs programs have begun at Topgolf Pompano! Five separate locations: the Jim and Jan Moran, JM Teen Center, Rick and Rita Case, Carver Ranches, and S. Robert Levine/Leo Goodwin Teen Center, will shuttle to Topgolf for an hour of fun and life skills curriculum.

Over seventy-five children will attend the field trip to the newly opened Topgolf Pompano.

Special thanks to the staff and management at Topgolf for donating the hitting bays and welcoming our students and team.

These sisters are showcasing their commitment to golf and their personal growth. As key members of our PGA Junior League, Haley and Riley continually impress with their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

New Vet Programs Underway

Our veterans’ golf program began at Topgolf Pompano. This is one of five free golf programs scheduled for the veterans of Broward County. 24 veterans enjoy the program taught by Coach Michele Conte, Coach Robert Ferzoco, and Coach TJ Ziol.

Special thanks to the staff and management of Topgolf for donating the hitting bays and welcoming our nation’s heroes.

Monthly Vets Golf Outing

Veterans Tom Kruse, Bill Lee, and Bill Mei played in the monthly golf outing at Parkland Golf and Country Club with veteran outreach volunteer, Jack Bloomfield.

Special thanks to Parkland Golf and Country Club Director of Golf, Miles Harris, for hosting our nation’s heroes.

Par 3 Corporate Challenge Rocks!

Coral Ridge Country Club generously hosted our annual Par 3 Corporate Challenge. The event drew teams from a variety of organizations and businesses. After an exhilarating afternoon of play, the team from Steady Returns, including Chris Burr, Rich Rogers, Gerry Litrento, and Michael Greenwood, emerged as the champions.

The biggest highlight of the tournament was when one of our students, Audrey Bacic, achieved a remarkable hole-in-one, the first one of her golf career.  Check out the video of her ace.

The tournament’s success would not have been possible without the support of participants, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, all contributing to our mission. As we look to the future, events like the Par 3 Corporate Challenge continue to exemplify our commitment to youth development and community engagement through the game of golf.  THANK YOU SPONSORS!
